Authoritative and Up-to-date Dictionaries
ABBYY Lingvo 12 Multilingual Version contains over 7,400,00 entries in 128 dictionaries for translating words and phrases from English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Latin, Turkish to Russian and back. Including general, professional, specialized, regional, explanatory dictionaries as well as thesauri, phrasebooks, dictionaries of idioms and abbreviations. Most of these dictionaries are electronic versions of the authoritative (licensed by famous publishers, such is Russkij Yazyk, Collins, etc.) and up-to-date printed dictionaries, 80% of which are published in 2003 — 2006.
It includes ABBYY Lingvo Universal, a comprehensive English-Russian dictionary created and constantly updated by ABBYY’s lexicographers for the last sixteen years. In the years 2004-2006, ABBYY Lingvo Universal was significantly revised in collaboration with Russkiy Yazyk Publishing House to be published as a printed version. Now the dictionary contains 50,000 entries enhanced by new translations and usage examples including 1,000 completely new entries.
The Latin-Russian Dictionary contains over 200,000 words and phrases, including words from Vulgar Latin texts, and can be used to read and translate all the major surviving literary works, historical texts, legal documents, the most important texts of Christian patristic writings, and some works that were written in Latin before the second half of the 7th century.
The Turkish-Russian Dictionary contains about 80,000 words and phrases of contemporary Turkish supplemented with terms related to the domains of culture, the arts, literature, and economics.
The Turkish-Russian with Russian-Turkish Dictionary of Construction and Architecture contains 27,500 terms and terminological expressions in each translation direction and covers the domains of building design, building physics, hydrology, architecture, infrastructure, structures, building typology, construction materials and products, tools, machinery, technology, utilities, city planning, transport, and construction economics.
The New Chinese-Russian Dictionary includes 4,100 most commonly used hieroglyphs and over 26,000 words and word combinations. Dictionary will answer the needs of students studying Chinese at university level, as well as enabling its users to read Chinese newspapers and magazines with only very occasional look-ups in larger dictionaries. It can also be used as a reference book on Chinese spelling and pronunciation, and serve as a source of linguistic material for textbooks. |

If need detailed information about the word, including all its meanings, translations and usage examples, press Alt, Ctrl or Shift key on your keyboard and while holding it down click on the word you are interested in. Alternatively, you can select the word and press Ctrl+Ins+Ins or Ctrl+C+C.
