The dictionary contains over 140 000 words and expressions with their Ukrainian equivalents. The pronunciation of the English words is shown by means of the phonetical transcription. The stress is marked in all Ukrainian translations. The different meanings of the English words are followed by corresponding translations and often defined by notations in italics. Examples of usage are given for some words difficult for translation. The dictionary also contains phraseology and phrasal verbs which unveil the abundance of the English vocabulary and of its peculiarities. The dictionary is designed for specialists in the English language and others persons engaged in mastering English or translating from English into Ukrainian. It can be also helpful for the improvement of the knowledge in the Ukrainian language.
