The English-Russian Dictionary of Computer Science

The dictionary has been prepared by the lexicographic team of the Applied Linguistics Division of ABBYY company and E. K. Maslovsky. This is a further evolution of the well-known English-Russian Computer Engineering Dictionary under the editorship of E. K. Maslovsky and "English-Russian Computing System and Information Technology Dictionary” by the same author that featured several printed and electronic publications. The present edition has been significantly enriched with terms from such areas as logical device design and modeling, knowledge engineering, production computerization, artificial intelligence systems, computer networks, digital signal processing, parallel and pipeline computations, system analysis, Internet Technology.During the work on the vocabulary terminology the following American periodicals “Advances in Engineering Software”, “Artificial Intelligence”, “Computer Communications”, “Computer Networks”, “Data and Knowledge Engineering”, “Expert Systems With Applications”, “Future Generation Computer Systems”, “Information and Software Technology”, “Interacting with Computers”, “Knowledge-Based Systems”, “Microprocessors and Microsystems”, “Parallel Computing”, “Robotics and Autonomous Systems” have been used to develop the dictionary’s terminology: as well as numerous English Internet publications and glossaries. In a new edition errors have been corrected and deficiencies, found by the author himself and numerous users of the dictionary during 2005-2007, have been eliminated, as well as a number of important user suggestions have been taken into account.
